iBike uses a poor mount, and an insufficiently mounted iBike won't give reliable data. The quality of data and calculations on iBike is dependent on the calibration procedure, which can be a pain in the ****.

iBike measures power indirectly just like every other power meter. No bicycling power meter measures power directly.

iBike's barometric altimeter is, IMHO, the best on the road.

My experience was that iBike costs too much for the issues it has.

You'd have to check the iBike site or email them to get the result of any error analysis they've done on the unit's measurements.

The plots shown on the iBike site--measurements taken at the same time with SRM, PT, and iBike, according to iBike--show that all three tend to follow similar trends. All three are linearly shifted from each other, but that's to be expected and is of no consequence. After all, absolute power measurement carries no importance. What is important is the repeatability of the measurements.
