Large Cleats (us 15, eur 50)?

My husband takes a 16 and has found stock shoes by Diadora and Sidi that fit him. He even got the Sidis on sale for about 1/2 off at Perfomance since they had been sitting around so long with no one to buy them 😄. It might take some searching, but you should be able to find a pair in a LBS and maybe even get one of those great deals - they also might be willing to order a big pair for you if they don't have them in the store. Otherwise you can get them online. BikeNashbar (www.bikenashbar.com) has 4 pairs that come in a 50 ranging from $70 Diadoras to $229 Sidis.

Cyclists seem to have big feet, so you should have no problem. I got a good deal on a pair of diadora shoes (euro 50) from bikenashbar. Sidi also do sizes up to ~52, so you should have no problem, just look at a few good on-line stores.

Those Diadoras look perfect for me. How can I determine the pedal/shoe compatability? I have the choice of Shimano or Look pedals, will the Diadora Gekos work with either? It just says, "Adapts to most pedal systems."

EDIT: a few more minutes of googling revealed I can buy cleats that attach to the shoe which will make them Look compatible. I'm assuming Shimano-compatible cleats for the Diadora shoes also exist, but have yet to find them.
