one more...

note... I'm still using one of Surly's factory samples that they donated
to me for testing. It's a 32 hole rim laced to a 48 hole hub. Still
going strong after more than a year of riding.

Now thats just made the waiting worse! God damn you with your rapid
postal delivery and being much closer to george than I am . 2
days to wait, I think I can (probably) wait that long. The black looks
really good, my whole uni is going to be a combo of black/silver parts
on a red frame, red pedals & red UDC Gel Saddle (including the Tomac Red
magura HS33, which I got off ebay)...

Good pics tho, I like the 'Its smaller than an average child!' esque
picture.

Here's my own LM frame. Onebyone is correct, I'm no longer making
frames.

Nice frame, George! Love the orange.

Some updates on Surly stuff:

Endomorph 3.7 tires and Surly 26 x 3.0-4.0 Presta XC tubes (.9mm wall
thickness) are done, but haven't shipped yet. Tubes are still waiting
for packaging. ETA is early to mid August. Sorry, Joe.

24" Large Marge rims have shipped. ETA at the warehouse is July 11th.
If they pass our QC, they'll go into our distributor's stock a day or
two after they arrive. Keep your fingers crossed.

Dave

So I ride a Sun 28er. You gotta problem with that?

All I want out of life is to be able to ride the unicycle while smoking
a cigar at the same time. Is that too much to ask for?

Wow, thats a fantastic looking uni George... I'm kind of regretting not
having my frame done in that colour after you offered to put it in the
same batch , but I think red is going to work better with the
rest of the parts I've got.

From what I've heard, there are only 4 people on these forums (Me,
George, Mojoe & shapr) with GB4 3.7" frames. How many did you make
George? Since you've stopped making frames now, and there aren't any
other people making 3.7" compatible frames (apart from SurlyDave, but
his isn't for public release), this type of frame is an ultra-rare
limited run.

It kind of makes me sad that people won't be able to build 3.7" uni's
for the time being, but by October I'll have access to some decent
engineering workshops, so I might start making up ultra-wide frames
(once I've decided on a design).

Loose.

I machine them on my lathe. I start with 2 piece shaft collars, so the
hard work is already done.

All - thanks for the kind words! Now if I could just find an orange
seat cover!

I'm amazed that loose hasn't posted yet, but i rode the 26x3" gazzalodi
tyred version of this uni, with this frame and onza crank set last
night. Oddly it doesn't feel any faster than a 24x3" Muni, but it does
go up 6" curbs with no effort atall from the rider, and with shorter
cranks (currently 165 DDG Drivers) im sure it will blast the trails
beautifully, especially when loose gets the endomorph tyre.

You see, this is what happens when I sped an hour putting the brakes on
my uni last night, and fettling (english word for tweaking) the thing so
the wheel doesn't flex. It was 11:30 by the time I got in last night,
and I've spent most of today tightening spokes & generally messing about
with cranks. Oh, and watching Live8, so sorry if its been a bit delayed
in posting...

Dave is right in saying its like a 24, the control is very similar, but
after riding it on wet grass, uphill & down & riding tarmac, I can say
its much faster & has a lot more uphill torque. Its going to rule on the
trails, thats for sure.

Here's the pic you've all been waiting for (well actually no-ones been
waiting for, but I think its cool).

Loose.
