    On the whole, with the majority of species, the females are larger than the males.

    Is it the norm for mamals to have larger males. If the answer is yes, then I can understand with
    humans, as being social animals we live in close proximity, so the males are close together and can
    compete. Why is this the case with other mamals?

    Is it that mamals, investing more heavily in their offspring tent to live much closer together for
    longer, unlike some other species, which mate and then separate, never to see wach other again?

    The largest males, in proportion to females are those that must fight to hold a harem. If it is only
