After last year's spectacular Tour, the best one I recall
seeing (been watching for ~10 years, hadn't paid that much
attention until 1998ish though), I was eager to buy the DVD
. My budget wouldn't stretch to the 12- hour edition so I
thought about the 4-hour one. But looking at it on Amazon,
it gets a very disappointing rating: the reviewer says it's
more "highlights of the last 10km of each stage", and
"...included the legendary climbs of the Galibier, Izoard
and Tourmalet ... you wouldn't know it by watching the DVD."
Does anyone beg to differ, is it worth getting, or are there
better alternatives? I did record several stages but the
tape's worn out from all the replaying!
Thanks, Iain
