  1. My present leader (filling in for my normal leader who is on
a leave of absence) repeats these simple words of advice at
    the start of every meeting.

    One minute at a time...one hour at a time...one day at a
    time...one week at a time.

So true, so simple, so easily forgotten. I can hear his
voice in my moment's of weakness and 9.9 times out of 10 I
walk away. The moment is beat thanks to those words and the
    inspiration.

Thought I'd share, Melissa in NJ

  3. Your temporary leader sounds like a veteran of 12-step
programs. This is the mantra of Overeaters Anonymous.

  4. Hi Melissa, I think that is a great mantra. Sometimes when
we focus on the big picture it can be overwhelming and cause
us to get discouraged and quit. If it is broken down into
baby steps it is more manageable and does seem so
overwehleming. I will have to remember this. Kristine
