This is to all the naysayers about mounting a computer with the C-dale Lefty Max (currently on my Sobe Jekyll 800 MTB). I just bought a CatEye Enduro 8 for $18 off of eBay.
I've heard everything from mounting it on the downtube (due to shortness of cable) to cutting and splicing in 12" of wire and run it to the rear tire. Here's a pic of how I did it. The brakeline on the front Hayes caliper assembly is very stiff. I was successfully able to clamp it tight enough around the base (see picture). It lasted through 40 miles of desert terrain today. I'm happy with it. Give it a try.
