LeJoG road closure - Perthshire

Reading through this mornings paper I came across a notice from Perth &
Kinross Council giving notice of their intention to close part of the
A912 between its junction of the A913 and the B996.
Pedestrian and vehicular access will be maintained.

This notice comes into effect Monday 30th August for one week.

In other words the route through Glenfarg from Kinross to Perth may be
closed to cyclists.

If you do not feel like chancing your luck with the road works then an
alternative route can be found after Glenfarg village, turn left
signposted Wicks o' Baiglie and follow the road to Bridge of Earn.

Going northbound you will have two short sharp climbs and a exhilarating
12% descent, going south you will have a long, punishing 12% climb,
followed by two short sharp climbs.

I would be inclined to trust my luck and go through Glenfarg.
