I might get a new handlebar bag and it looks like I'm going to be able to
try out bar-ends to for 2.99 :)

Funny, them having another bike sale so soon after the last one, although
I'm not complaining.

I'm a bit confused as to which panniers are on offer this time round and how
much they cost.

It looks like the briefcase pannier is the same as last year's. It's good
for the price but unfortunately, it's strap based rather than clips. It
means fiddling around for two or three minutes and the possibility of
getting black hands from touching a filthy rear rack. The manufacturing
quality of the bag was only fair;I managed to pull the zip thingy off. Not
a problem really, I was able to put the thingy* back on and I just have to
remember not to open it too quickly. Probably wouldn't stand up to
intensive day to day use but worth having, IMO.

*sorry to get technical.

I also have the tripple pannier from the photos. It's good and amazing value
(assuming it's 4.99 again). It's another strap based one. It's capacity and
ease of use pale compared to the massive ones I bought from Lidl last week.

I'm not sure that the track pump is quite the same one that they had last
year for 2.99. Last year's one was superb. Even a month or so after they
were first offered, there were piles of them in two of the shops I visited
and I regret not getting a spare.

Be warned though: _really_ cheap track pumps can be a false economy. As I
found out with the one I bought at Super U -- barely even got to 85 psi
without inducing hernia or flying off the valve.

My £8 Lidl one has done very nicely. It just mainly gets used on my parents'
car, though.

Perhaps it's just the ones at Super U that are shite then. Or I'm just a
wimp!
