Liquigas Opens With A Bang

Sagan does look like a very strong rider. One of the up and coming talents for sure. But where do you think he fits in? He can climb fairly well, but not well enough to win a grand tour. He's got a pretty fast finish but he's not going to take on Cavendish in a flat finish. A rider a bit like Cunego or Bettini perhaps, aiming to win races like LBL, take wins on hilly stages in the grand tours and other stage races? Definitely think he can do some damage in the Ardennes classics this year.

given his youth, i wonder what direction liqui will point him. i think he will be a worthy competitor for stage races and for g t's. right now, i think he's paying out his tuition to stage race smartly (getting knocked off the top step one day, and then using his team to climb right back up). anyway, just my thoughts that liqui seem to be grooming him for a team leader.
