I just don't understand how that works (I don't mean the technology behind it). I mean even here in Brasil, I log on and watch as much as I want at a pretty high bandwidth (600k/sec), with only a modicum of commercials integrated into the program for free. What is their profit model? How many people are paying 20 euros to watch On Any Sunday? Don't get me wrong it is really cool, great in fact. But I am not sure whether to spread the news, or to keep it to myself to prevent their servers from being crashed with all the demand...

I wonder why they can't get races like Paris-Roubaix shown...it's great anyway.

Because OLNTV has rights to broadcast Paris-Roubaix. Items on Cycling TV in the US are those that, in the US, are not broadcast in full by OLNTV. Similarly, no Tour of Flanders or Amstel Gold.

    Hi,
At the moment cycling tv is still on a curve upwards in viewers and to that end the more viewers they get the more ad revenue they can get in. That in turn allows them to provide covourage of races not otherwise available on other networks. So it is dependant on us as viewers to support the sponsors who adverise on the channel.

As cycling.tv grows its live transmissions will grow also.

This has to be the best thing on the net at the moment, lets get behind it.

How was Gent Wevelgem? I am in Europe and therefore unable to watch it! Did they get American commentators in as it was transmitted in the US and Canada only?

cycling.tv is somewhat reliable still. For example, for E3, the live coverage did not come through for some viewers who paid through Paypal. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad cycling.tv is around. It just needs to improve on reliability.

The paypal problem was due to Paypals servers going down. The numbers involved were very small and these things always have a few niggles.

These inovitive services are continually evolving and adapting so I guess one or two of us will find the odd problem here and there.

Too bad. I guess that also means no TdF. Sometimes I wish I had satellite...
