I am looking for some kind of locking grips that I can use with gripshift. My current grips seem to want to slide off my riser bars. I've used flat bars w/bar-ends for years, so I haven't had this problem until now. Most lock-on grips I've seen are to be used with rapidfire-type levers, so if anyone knows of a product that will work w/gripshift, I would really appreciate it. TIA, Ned

Clean the inside of the grip with rubbing alcohol thoroughly, and install it using a little alcohol as a lube. This doesn't work with all grips, but I've had better results with alcohol than with water. Using a detergent frequently has resulted in permaslip grips for me. -- Typoes are a feature, not a bug. I think you missed the question. He wasn't asking how to install his old grips.

Looks like speedgoat.com has something you can look at as a point of reference. I use the Oury ODI grips and shimano rapid fire so I don't know much about the ODI with SRAM, but I can say I absolutely DIG the Oury's. One of the best upgrades on my rig ever. No messing with glue or rubbing alcohol, soap, spit, etc, etc, etc. Put them on beginning of last year and they haven't moved a hair yet.
