Some friends and I have registered for the London to Brighton bike ride on Sunday the 8th of September 2013. It's for Bike 4 Cancer - a new cycling charity set up by a group of keen cyclists who've all been affected by cancer - something we've all been affected by I guess.
The good thing about this ride is that it is limited to 5000 riders - which should be much safer than the BHF event which attracts 30,000 riders every year. I rode in the BHF event a few years back and it was lethal - people clipping each other's wheels - people stopping in the middle of the road for no apparent reason - carnage!
Has anyone got any experience of this ride? I just wondered whether it's safe to ride clipless... my last experience scared me!
Hope to see you there on the day!
