I was thinking of entering the london to Brighton event next year and was wondering what the minimum age is to ride it unacomanyed or with a friend of a similar age (14). Any help or tips would be much appreciated

Newspaper says people were aged from 14 to 75. Its a big distance for you, 87 km. That would be at least 3 hours on the saddle. Check out with your parents and friends to see if you can have some support from them. I did my first serious long distance ride at 18, my brother and my sister started a few hours behind me by car. so nice from them !
