In true British style tomorrows London to Southend bike ride for the BHF (British Heart Foundation) looks as if it will be “Changeable” in meteorological terms. As all of you who watch Mr Fish and the BBC weather team know, this means they haven’t a clue. Wind, Rain, Snow, Frost, Heat wave, just come prepared for everything and you should be OK.
I think I will wait until the morning and see if I will put the Mudguards on. I can live with the occasional shower, it’s having the wind in your face that really makes it hard work. Having just checked with the BBC weather site, it appears that the wind may be on our side, pushing us eastward to Southend.
Being a lone cyclist, it’s going to be nice to get out with a few thousand friends tomorrow, with a bit of luck the weather will hold until we get to Southend, and we can celebrate with a cold beer and a banana.
Good luck to you all, check your bike is OK for the ride before the shops close
See you at the start or finish, or some ware in between
:D
