    Hi all,

This is my first post so go easy please...

I have a very old set of look pp165 pedals which are
supposed to be set to a release tension of 0.8 kg.m

I am thinking of purchasing a set of look pp396 which
have a release tension range of 12 to 18 (with no units listed ).

Does anyone know the conversion factor between the old
    kg.m and the new numbers?

    regards
    Matthew.in.oz.swaping.pedals.between.2.bikes

ps - I've had a quick search and not found the goods.

HI Matt. I also have Look pedals, but mine report the unit for release tension. The new units are N (Newtons) which are kg.m.s^2. So, to obtain old kg.m you have to divide by ten (standard value for gravity acceleration in m/s^2). Therefore the new release tension range is from 1.2 to 1.8, and as you see is slightly greater than the old one. Hope to help.
