  1. Am soon to be married to lady with limited vision so am considering
purchasing a tandem to keep up the cycling. Does anyone have
suggestions as to what I should look for/where to purchase a reasonably
    priced one?

    Many Thanks
    Laurence

There's a wealth of information here Laurence.
http://www.tandem-club.org.uk/ There discussion board is a good source of
bikes and if you join the Tandem Club their magazine has a for sale section.
If you live anywhere near J.D. Cycles in Ilkley http://www.jdcycles.co.uk/
you can try out a tandem under no obligation. They kit you up and send you
off on a route that goes for miles if you want. We travelled from our home
in Perthshire to use this shop. They are a first class outfit.

    eBay?

I have a Dawes tandem that Janet has not been on for 2 years and in the
spring of 2006 I shall put it on eBay - I imagine it will make more money in
the spring. So if you want one now you should be able to get a real bargain.

Advice - get one with a suspension seat post for the stoker.

Where are you? I have a couple of tandems I ought to get rid of
(because having six tandems is probably overdoing things a bit). So, if
    you're anywhere near Suffolk...

Have you considered adopting 10 children?
