Looking for : Helmet for claustrophobic Girlfriend !help!

She refuses to wear a helmet on the grounds they make her to claustrophobic and remove the "free feeling" of riding a bike.
As a avid cyclist I don't enjoy wearing the damn things either, but I did realized the costs of living in a society with shitty drivers soon on into my life.

Has anyone faced a similar feeling of being confined in a helmet..and have found refuge in purchasing some helmet from somewhere??

If she's into DH MTBing, using a fullface helmet I'd kinda understand it. But a regular helmet isn't any more confining than a hat. The only other options I can think of is either a styled helmet or an air bag based design. Do a net search for "hovding" + helmet and it should pop up.
