In the process of researching a new trainer I noticed Kurt Kinetic had 2 new ones. A "PRO" model with an 18lb flywheel, and a "Rock and Roll" model that sways the bike frame with the rider.

These look interesting to me as:
1. I don't like the feel of my current "Progressive Magnetic" Rim trainer. Feels like Im riding through sand.

2. I like the reduced stress on the frame if it can sway slightly as I ride. I also think it will give the trainer a better "road feel".

Has anyone had any experience with the "Pro" version with the big flywheel? Does the larger flywheel make it much better? I'm looking to get rid of the "riding in sand" feeling and this seems like it might do the trick.

Is it possible to have too much flywheel and that could introduce other weird pedaling feelings?

the larger flywheel gives you more momentum. so if you stop pedaling for a bit it'll coast a bit longer.
