Hi, the zip on my Altura speed 300 jacket finally broke on me after a good few years of service. Whilst not a waterproof jacket, it was water resistant to some extent. It was ideal in this sort of weather, where it's cold but not freezing. It gave incredible breathability but also offered some warmth. It also had a fantastic 2 way zip.
I've had a quick look round and the current altura jackets don't have the two way zip feature. I was just wondering what jackets people might be able to recommend.

I use a Mardale pertex bike jacket (see http://www.mardale.com/). It doesn't have a two way zip as standard IIRC, but since they made one up in fluo yellow (not the standard colour) and added lots of reflective trim to order for a remarkably reasonable cost they may well be happy to do you something with a two way zip if you ask nicely.

I have a very good jacket by Gill. Can't remember the model name, but it does have a two-way zip.

You fix you bike, don't you? Or give it to someone who can?
Fix the jacket; must be a good seamstress somewhere nearby available for hire or flattery...
