I have recently switched from a standard double 39/53 to FSA Gossamer compact crank (34/50). Had to lower front derailleur (105) and readjust high, low and cable tension according to instructions. Actually everything works amazingly well, however I’ve noticed that the third intermediate trimming click that I had before is not there (Tiagra 2002 front shifters). Instead the first click drops the chain from the large ring to the small and then I can still touch the small lever and it produces king off click (actually I can repeat it several times) but of course nothing happens to the chain. Not that I need to trim it too much (may be at 53-25) but did I screw up something with my front shifter (it is actually 3-speed)? Thanks for help.

Use the granny and middle ring shifter positions for the small and big ring. Set the cable tension and hi limit correctly and trim will work as intended.
