Low maintenance, simple commute bike

If you're really worried about pot holes eating you wheels, either steer around the potholes or bunny hop them. Doing as much gives you many more, relatively inexpensive options for a bike on which to commute.

I bought a Dutch bike about a year and a half ago and I commute to uni (I ride for about 40 minutes) and it has been performing brilliantly. I don't know what you're after in a bike but I got mine from this place that does Dutch bikes and if you're not commuting too far, I'd definitely recommend it. They're a fairly small company but that makes the service so much more personal, I had no idea what kind of bike I'd need and they were so helpful in getting me what I needed. Take a look at their site, they're called Dutchie. Let me know what you think.
