I have just read that you should NEVER lubricate a carbon seat post when inserting into your frame...

WHY?

Makes it too slick. Then you have to use too much tighteness on the binder to hold it, and it gets buggered.

... and it's unlikely that an un-lubricated carbon post will get stuck in the seat tube the way a metal one eventually will. Corrosion ain't happening to carbon.

Grease is an organic compound which reacts with and degrades the resin which holds the carbon fibre together.
Because it's metal its never likely to become completely stuck t the frame tube like an aluminium one.
