Oh noooooooooooo

"When shall we three meet again?
In thunder, lightning, or in rain?"

That doesn't sound like *shoe*strings..

only joking, Mum's 70th Birthday (have to organise Bunny Boys for
that); El S's 200 the next day, just looking at the route in the
calendar, The Dean is more or less the Severn Across but from Oxford
unless I'm much mistaken.
I shall be doing El S's 300 22nd Apr followed by Severn Across the week
after.

The 0730 from here (change at Sevenoaks) gets into Otford at 0917. Might be
pushing it a bit. Or I could cycle from Sevenoaks (arrives at 0902).

Pushing it a bit? [checks calendar] Oh, I see - I thought the start was
9.00, but it seems to be 9.30. That train would be perfect - just warn
Steve about the possibility of lateness. I presume it is the one that
goes via Canterbury West, yes? I think I'd rather do that than drive.

Very similar, but Severn Across gets a bit easier after Malmesbury.

Looks like a horrible blend of the Cotswold Corker, Marlborough
Connection and Poor Student. That hill out of Winchcombe is a total
sod, and I am investigating an alternative route from there to Bishop's
Cleeve...

While you were out at the Rollright Stones, I came and set fire to your
Shed.

So it does. Poobums.

IIRC The Rural South was like that too. There was a chap moaning like a
moany thing that it should have have scenery points coz he'd measured
the amount of scenery with his automagical scenery counter. And I
managed to get round that in spite of horrible tyre prombles, a semi-
liquid route sheet and "issues" with lights (no change there - another
of Herrn. Busch & Mueller's cheesy wotsits died on Saturday after but
210 km attached to the beast).

Mr. Charles Kennedy (Krankieburgh): Would the Prime Minister care to
comment on a report in today=3Fs Guardian that he: =3Farrived late for a
meeting with Jacques Chirac, smelling of alcohol, and with body language
suggesting a total disregard for the rights of ethnic minorities, lone
parents and laboratory animals=3F?

In that case; as someone who spent some of my last Severn Across
looking like road kill somewhere in Oxon I'll give The Dean a miss ;-0

I remember returning to Pamber Heath last Spring and being overtaken by
people finishing the long event as we were finishing the 100km.
Following your comments I think that might have been a 160 rather than a
200 that they were riding.
