I'm itching to get a new bike for abount £1300 - £1400 and finding it difficult to decide:

So far I've considered a Marin TARA Rock Springs or a Specialised Enduro.

The Marin seems to be better value for money (more travel, bigger discs), but the Specialised seems
to be more reccomended by friends. I do prefer the look of the Specialised but I'd want to upgrade
the fork to 130mm.

Also considering Trek Liquid 10 and Scott GZero FX20

What's your opinion?

Nice - like the idea of adjustable travel and they're sorted bikes - solid, no nonsence, well
specified and great value for money

Same as the marin - if you like 4 bar linkage they're the bike to go for - personally I prefer
single pivot (like the marin) which stiffen up the suspension and climb better IMO

Don't know much about the Trek - The Al scott's are very heavy and overpriced for what they are -
the Carbon ones are lovely but a bit out of your price range - avoid the Al ones IMO.

Decide whether you want single or multi pivot - buy Marin or Spec accordingly

ss since you asked. peace, bill

The mind serves properly as a window glass rather than as a reflector, that is, the mind should give
an immediate view instead of an interpretation of the world.

At the end of the day, it's going to come down to which one fits you better. Go and give both of
them a test ride - it doesn't matter which one has the bigger disks, just how comfortable you
feel on each.

Should be. Hopefully, I won't dislocate my collarbone and have to miss a day like last time.

I take it you're springing most up

Probably...
