Marzocchi Oil Level

On my previous forks it was easy to adjust the oil level (2004 vintage)
but on my new forks MX Comp you are referred to the service centre. I
suspect this is still a fairly easy task. Has anyone solved this mystery? I
think I would like to reduce the oil level as I have not been able to get
very close to maximum travel even with very low air pressure.

TIA

I've got the service manual in PDF form, send me an e-mail.

It's easy - Hardest part was finding a 6-point 21mm socket for a
reasonable price, all I could find at the hardware stores was 12-point.
The 12 point did not provide a very tight fit and I was afraid it would
strip the soft alum bolt head (since the bolt already has blunt corners
and only left a mm or so of contact). Also, there is not much clearance
between the bolt and the crown so the socket can't have a very thick
wall.

Found one at a discount auto parts store; 21mm, 6 point socket for lug
nuts. $6 Works well.

You could use a crescent wrench to remove the top cap.

Oil level for a 2004 MX Comp is 135cc.

I have had to Marzocchi´s, both came with too much oil, but became really
fine forks, plush and comfortable after considerable tweaking.

It is rididulous that Marzocchi can´t deliver the forks with the correct
amount of oil in them. Appears as if they have a playful orangutang
splashing it in at random at the end of the assembly line.
