I have been using SPD-SL all my life, was up for a bit of change.
Have anyone used Mavic Avenir Road Pedal by any chance?
When compare to Shimano 105, it is slightly lighter and the build quality seems fine, any thoughts?

Mavic pedals seem fine but like shoes, I would opt for a more mainstream pedal. Look, Speedplay, shimano. I don't think the Mavic pedal will do anything the SPD-L doesn't do. Like most others, it is just a slightly redesigned Look pedal.
