Crappy rear hub, along with the entire mavic line. For the $, why not
have a good wheelbuilder design and build a wheelset specifically for
you? Better wheels, better hubs by far, probably cheaper as well.

Actually, many years ago Mavic used to make these great hubs, light and
smooth and strong. I don't know how the hubs in the ksyriums are,
however, I would guess that they don't spin smoothly. A lot of the
wheelsets that are available now have rough spinning and poorly
adjusted hubs. You can probably rebuild the hub, but, why would you
spend a bunch of money on a wheel that has a poorly finished hub? For
the price of ksyriums, you can get dura ace or campy hubs, nice rims,
db or bladded spokes put together into a handbuilt wheel.

If you want one of those factory wheelsets, you can get some for under
$200. They are probably poorly finished and you'll have to touch them
up yourself, however, they are cheap. But the ksyriums cost way too
much.

I'll tell ya and BobT-They use a plastic bushing inside the freehub
body, at the bottom, that runs on a rubber seal. This gets the least
bit diry or dusty, the freehub doesn't 'freewheel' any longer. Needs a
Overhaul frequesntly. The Mavic rep suggested that we put in a .5mm
axle spacer on top of the axle stub, just under the freeehub body, to
lift it up a wee bit, and that helps a lot. This, along with spokes
bonded to 'nipples'(makes a NICE curly-que type thing, twisting),
makes me wonder why anybody spends the $ on these.
