check the rim jointing method too. op's are welded and that has a better weight distribution.
suspect the o4's use an insert.

'CD' is Mavic's way of saying it is hard anodized, not a great idea in eyeleted rims, IMO-

Same ride but the 'performance' including the reliability of them, depends on the build quality...

I built a set of wheels with Open 4 CD rims about 10 years ago (I rceently got the LBS to rebuild
the back one with a 9 speed hub, because my dishing stick has gone AWOL). They seem strong enough -
I'm quite happy to jump off kerbs etc - but the wet braking performance is poor due to the
anodising.
