Dudes,
I was just told by the LBS that since my $800 a set Mavic rear wheel is older than a year, it'll be $170 to send the hub to Mavic for a rebuild after I discovered not 1 but 2 breaks in the rim at spoke holes! And they gave me a little song and dance about light weight equipment not being as sturdy as the old reliable stuff. Yea that's why all those pros beat that stuff around France for weeks. I'll bet if they break a wheel it's not $170 to fix it! Any comments ? I'm feeling a bit miffed, $170 worth!
Later, Dave
