Join the foggy fun as we cycle the mist-shrouded city... you've never seen Melbourne look so surreal. But because the weather is fickle, we can't set a date. So you need to email or SMS your mobile phone number to [email protected] / 0439 88 00 93 to register. When THICK FOG is forecast in the next day or two, you will be sent an SMS giving the time (night) & place (CBD) for the ride start.

Cycle for Sustainability 2006

Mid-August thru December
C4S's 2005 ride saw 10 individuals ride 4500km to deliver a sustainabilty message to over 3000 school students and the broader community. The 2006 ride will start mid-August 2006 in Sydney and end in Hobart in December. And they're looking for lots of people to get involved in lots of different ways. Check it out.

And this month, we'll end with a song ;)

Pedal-Powered Goddess -author unknown - from Vancouver, BC-
---------------------
There's a pedal-powered goddess in the sky
And she turns the milky-way between her thighs
She's the pedal-powered goddess and she doesn't wear a bodice,
She's the pedal-powered goddess in the sky

There's a pedal-powered goddess in the stars
In the cosmos there's no lasting place for cars
So the goddess doesn't drive one and her energy's a live one
And there are no fossils burning in her ****

There's a pedal-powered goddess on the way
And we pedal by her power every day
Through the road rage and pollution, we will make a velorution
By the goddess we will find a better way

(Sung at the Bike Fun Winter Solstice Ride, under the glow of Westgate
Bridge.)
