Has anyone had any experience with Merlin bikes (UK). They all seem pretty damn good value but I've
never seen any reviews, are they good/shite? cheers in advance

I owned a Merlin Malt 1 for about 3 years before I upgraded to Full Sus this Christmas (one of the
last FSR XC's in the country). I found it was a really good, reliable bike but that the MALT1 frame
is very stiff. Some of the other frames may be better - they do a steel jobbie for 200 quid.
Componentry is second to none - quality handbuilt wheels, full after market componentry and no
unbranded parts. They'll do 6 months interest free credit on most of their bikes as well. As for
value for money, I have yet to find another full price bike from any manufacturer that can offer
such good value, even amongst the mail order specialists.

As regards general reviews, What Mountain Bike and MBR have both reviewed the MALT 2 in various
guises and were very generous in their praise. Check out BikeMagic.com and MTBR.com for customer
reviews, I know there are some there.

Hope this helps,

Pete

If I remember correctly, some folks on uk.rec.cycling found them favourable. You might wanna check
there or google it.
