Cyclists - Annual Joint Meeting
Getting cabin fever? Just want to be around some bikes and fellow bicycle fans? Join us on February
15th for the annual Michigan Human Powered Vehicle Association and Wolver Bent Recumbent Cyclists
joint meeting.
The event will be held from 1pm - 4pm, at the Francois Xavier Bagnoud Building (corner of Beal and
Hayward) on the Ann Arbor, University of Michigan North Campus. Talks and displays on all types of
human powered vehicles, with an emphasis on recumbent bicycles. The University of Michigan Human
Powered Helicopter and Submarine Teams are expected to have a display and talk. "Buying your first
recumbent" at 4pm. As in past years the MHPVA meeting will be held first, immediately followed by a
short Wolver-Bent Recumbent Cyclist meeting. Everyone is encouraged to bring their recumbents for
"show and tell", as well as going out for a short group ride on nearby non-motorized trails (weather
permitting - ride maps provided).
The easiest way to reach the meeting site is to use the Plymouth Road exit of US 23 (northeast side
of Ann Arbor), going west on Plymouth Road to Murfin Street. Go south on Murfin to Hayward until you
reach Beal). Parking is available to the west and north of the meeting building. There are numerous
restaurants for those who would like to grab a bite to eat before the meeting.
