Milton, ON - Appleby Rd North...Anyone?

    I've attempted Bell School Line a couple of times in my life, but I ended up walking up. Couldn't make it. Too old, and too out of shape I guess.

    Glad to hear some folks go up there no problems.

    Wow, great thread. I live in BC now, but when I was a junior racer in the '80s, I did all my training on these hills. As my memory serves me, Appleby Line from the South was the worst. Someone once told me it was about 18%. I don't know if that's true, but it sure felt like it, especially with a 42-23, the lowest gearing I had at the time.

    It was also going down once of these hills where I broke 100km/h for the first time when I was 17. I think it might have been Bell Line. What a thrill, who needs drugs with an adrenaline rush like that.

    Nice to know there is a good group in the Oakville, Burlington, Milton area. Enjoy the riding.
