Hi
I have a Fort frame with a front-changer braze-on, which obviously
limits the minimum diameter of the larger chainring. I have a Campagnolo
Xenon triple changer, do you think it would cope with a 48-38-28 tooth
chainset?

OK, even if you can't quite lower the mech to the ideal height.I found a Campag triple worked reasonably well when I tried a 50t in place
of a 52 without lowering the mech at all (other rings were 39-26). My
braze-on mech couldn't be raised high enough for a 53 though.I guess you're thinking of using some other chainset but note that the
minimum size for Campag middle ring is 39t.~PB
