Mirror Recommendation

I used a mini-mirror on a rental bike from Zefal I think that was attached to the handlebar end. It looked like this one:
Problem was that I needed to adjust it all the time because it was moving around. I wasnt getting such a good opinion on the distance from the vehicles behind either.
There are also some other mirror options. There are some big round mirrors and there are also some mirrors that are attached on the helmet.
I mainly ride in the city too but I havent seen anyone using them. I suspect that it doesnt have much of a point or at least I cant figure what the advantage is. Since when you are actually wanting to check the mirror the car is probably gonna be allready next to you anyway.
I think that the main thing that might help in the city is to have such an "annoying" picture so car drivers will try to avoid you at the greatest distance possible. Very fast flashing bright lights and hight visibility items seem to work.

A helmet mirror is a good choice. A few riders here use the Cycleawear mirror, which mounts onto the helmet via a self-stick pad. It's on a ball-joint, so it's easily adjustable or removeable.

On a quiet country road, you can often hear a car approaching, but does the driver see you and is he moving over to pass? I like to know, either for peace of mind or for possible evasive action. Looking back with a quick glance just isn't the same, and in heavy traffic or in a tight pack of riders takes too long.

Now, I'm riding a different road bike with drop handle bar, and since I'm wearing glasses, so I picked the "Take a Look" like the one posted by CAMPYBOB. one thing I didn't know and to my surprise, this product does provide *unconditional guarantee*!! Again, see my pic of the package paper. I think it's pretty dawn good that they offer it! The only thing is you need to get used to look at an angle by either moving your eyeball only, or you may need to tilt your head every time you look at it.You may need to take a little time to get used to it.
