It's actually a good idea to put a beefier rim on teh rear wheel. I use both of those rims with
tires down to 25 mm.

Nope, it'll be just fine...you can use 23/25 tires on that rim as well....

As others have pointed out, this is fine. I have a CR-18 on the rear of my Tour Easy recumbent with
a 700 x 32 Continental tire. Once it warms up, I'll probably switch to a 700 x 28 tire.
