Mizuno 'biolock' function appears to be getting phased-out

Well Bob, what did you expect? Asking joggers to tie shoes, is like
asking a fish to do math.

I think it would have helped if Mizuno had included instructions.

When I bought mine the sales clerk took the time to explain it. They are a
slight hassle to lace but it really is a great way to lock the heal of the
shoe to the heal of your foot without having the laces overly tight across
the top of the foot.

I guess I'm just grumpy. I finally find a shoe that works and now I can't
just buy the same model when I wear out the current pair.

I bought Wave Riders about 2 months ago. The literature says they do NOT
have that feature. I'd say about half do. Guess it'll be even less now.
It interested me, since, when I tried them on, my heel did seem to be
slipping a little. After I ran in them, though, they seemed OK.

FWIW. I just bought a similar mizuno wave shoe without the bio-lock. The
pair with the bio lock definitely firms around my ankle with a lot less
tightness of the top laces. That (the less tight laces] is what I like
about them.
