is still plenty high for a toilet, don't you think?

I remember when I first heard someone mention it. "Dylan broke a Profile
DH crank on a jump from a 9' toilet!" and I remember thinking "Where do
you get a 9' toilet?"

If you don't know what we're talking about, watch Universe 2. Or come to
Moab, where Dylan may try it again. And who knows? Maybe we can find a
taller toilet!

There is only one Moab. Though it may not have trails as gnarly as
Northstar, Northstar does not have scenery to compare.

Andrew, I'm sure you can find something in Australia for us... 😉 How
about planning something along with the future Unicon there?

For those too lazy to look at the web site, the dates are April 1-3. I'm
pretty sure he's not foolin', either. I believe Rolf is working on a
different campground from the one we used the last few times, but since
details aren't posted they probably aren't worked out yet. The new place
will be bigger, and probably more convenient. And for those not
interested in camping in a potentially cold sandstorm, there are plenty
of hotels and things in town. Time to book mine...

When it comes to unicycling I thought anything over 5' was considered
12'. That's how it is with giraffes isn't it?

Since we measure giraffes by seat height maybe we should measure big
drops the same. So a drop from a 9 foot outhouse is a 12 foot drop.😄

On topic: I'm working on the wife and budget to go this year. I hope
there will be a SLC carpool, there's no way I can get enough time off to
drive both ways from Seattle.

No, nobody ever reports seeing a 12' giraffe. They usually start at
around 15', though probably the most common size given is 20'. For you
metric people, what numbers do you get?

For Unibrier and others:
Yes, there should be a SLC carpool. Last year my group rented a big
15-passenger van.

Possibly this time a larger number of smaller vans would be easier,
though the big one came out to be very cheap per person.

If things go like the last two times, Nathan and I will start organizing
vans and flight times. I haven't got anything yet though, as I just

I prefer expedia (www.expedia.com). I don't recommend booking on US
Airways. You fly to Salt Lake City (SLC).

If we do a group vehicle thing, we'll have to coordinate our flights so
people don't have to wait around all day to join with the group. That's
another reason why multiple vehicles might work better. I think the last
two years the carpool group arrived in SLC on Friday morning, and went
home on Monday. Cost for the shared vehicle rental will depend on
vehicle size and number of people sharing. The big van was by far the
cheapest, but it can get hard to coordinate very large groups of
people.

The cost of the Moab MUni Fest is very minimal. I don't know if there is
any entry fee at all, but there will probably be a fee for whatever
group dinner we do, or possibly other stuff. Whatever it is, it will be
nothing compared to getting there, so don't worry about that part.

I stumbled on this looking for dates for Moab to help out a journalist.
Just read the thread. Ohhhhhhhh, I wan to go. Maybe in 2006. Drool

Gotta plan for the sick-days off. Maybe a little praying to keep the

I'll be there. I didn't break anything last year, so I must not have
tried hard enough.

A suggestion to Rolf: can we please, please do games on a day other than
when we're doing Slickrock? Us mere mortals have to budget a good 7
hours for slickrock, which (in 2004) meant missing out on most of the
games. (Or in 2003 meant sitting there going "ow" while watching Beau
and Kris do the games).
