    Let's just delay the wheels of 'justice' until such time that the esteemed Mr. Merckx receives his award. Why, how thoughtful of you.

    Regardless, 10-to-1 this hullabaloo gets swept underneath a nice Persian rug. So the police dude got a reduced price on a Merckx bike?! Seriously?? That's the extent of the corruption going on in Belgium? LOL! Ain't got better things to do, I guess...

    I think this all came about because "A Brussels court in charge of the case, presided by judge Jean-Claude Van Espen, is investigating the dealings of several commissaires and regional police officers" and not because he sold a bike on the cheap... Those dealings involved the procurement of other items but since Merckx's name is big news in the bike world, it made the news...

    You really think that's a logical explanation for this indictment? I had NEVER thought of that.
    Nonetheless, I really, really think it's because the other big wigs are jealous of the police dude's smoking deal he got from the Jaw. Yeah, that's the ticket...
