Motorised bikes

I have a Sachs powered moped fitted to a dual suspension mtb. Hills are not a problem and a steady 25-28kmh up hills as well can be expected depending on the wheel size, I have 26ïn on mine. Economy around 50km/l depending on hills and amount of coasting and pedalling you do. There are some really fine looking bikes out now that have the fuel tank in the frame for a clean look. I chose german made engine over the chinese copy, they look the same but am very happy with my decision.
The alloy wheel is more expensive by about $130 over the steel but is lighter and stays truer and looks better, the dual suspension provides some protection for the rim from impact shock caused by potholes and curbs. Had mine about 5 yrs now and no problems. Do see some for sale in the trading post.
I use full synthetic race 2 stroke oil in mine, from new and never had a fouled plug to clean, think its worth it as the ratio is 1-2% so a litre bottle lasts ages.

Thanks for the reply, sounds like they might be just what im looking for I dont need to travel any great distance as the crow flys but there are a few hills to battle and was'nt sure they would of met the chalenge or i would of needed a vespa. I have been checking them out on the net there is indeed some good looking bikes around. Thanks again.

If you have not committed, try bikemotors.com (Golden Eagle) to get idea on putting motor on say a cruiser or MTB. You can use Honda motors and Subaru versions and buy just the kit.
