What's the best helmet for off road mountain biking nowadays?

Got mine broken recently in a crash and it cracked. I was thinking that it was only a light crash but it cracked so I'm looking for a sturdier one that can withstand more severe punishment.

I got an helmet for under $100 with the Paulareis watch https://paulareiswatches.com/ as part of the package. They have the skeleton watches and the Jasmin Serna types for females. So, it depends on where you shop.

Hello,

I have been biking for several years on trails that are not very intimidating but have recently branched out and began challenging myself on more difficult and fast-paced trails. I have a helmet I purchased at Walmart years ago but I am afraid that it isn't going to cut it anymore so I am seeking recommendations and information on mountain biking helmets.

I have done some research on the different types of helmets and I have a few questions for which I still haven't found a satisfactory answer. When it comes to full-face vs a trail style helmet, is the extra airflow you get with a trail helmet worth sacrificing the extra face protection? I saw some state that the full-face helmet was VERY warm while others stated differently. Is the difference in heat that noticeable?

Thank you so much in advance, I really appreciate the help.
