  1. good morning,

well a week ago I decided with some of your help to convert my mountain bike for commuter/light tour duty.

I have a Road Bike that was a high tech machine for the early 90s but it just wont take on big tires and fenders nor would the 531 frame and fork + 32 spoke thin wheels take the beating from curbs potholes, gravel ...

so the moutain bike it is.

Im all set with what I want to do but just havnt decided on what type bar to use.

I dont mind drops at all but the Nitto moustache bars look like a nice alternative and a happy medium between drops and flats. they look comfortable.

    what are your thoughts??

also the drops on my road bike were modified (started as 46) to a wider size 52 ( wide shoulders)

if I went with drops do you know of anywhere I can get a set custom bent or modified.

when I bought my road bike in 92 the bike shop had the bars done by someone
    but I dont know where???

    many thanks "John"'
