Hello All,

I went through several Lower Back pain related threads and thought I'd start a new one

Lately I moved a bit backward to a (more lean fwd) position that utilizes the Glute extensively.

It seems that I ride faster though if until recently it was quads (and hamstring) soreness that forced me to slow down, now it is lower back muscles BAD soreness.

I only get a partial relief when I do sort of stretches off the saddle.

I wish to learn what can be done in order to reduce this pain

Thanks!

Hey 90rpm,
I myself have horrible lower back issues. On my road bike I have found that it helps if you slide the seat forward a little bit it helps. it doesn't put you in as much of an "aggressive position" but takes some of the pressure off the back. I have also been considering getting a shorter stem to put me slightly more upright.
