BRUSSELS, Aug 31 (Reuters) - Former cyclist Johann Museeuw appeared
before the disciplinary commission of the Belgian cycling association
on Tuesday in a case involving vet Jose Landuyt who admitted selling
performance-enhancing drugs.

The meeting was held behind closed doors and no official statement was
made by the association.

"I can just confirm that there was a session of our disciplinary
commission...but I will not comment on that for legal reasons,"
Belgian cycling association spokesman Tom van Damme said.

"The wish of everybody was to have a secrete session and so it will
be. The association will communicate later on it".

One-day specialist Museeuw, who retired from the sport in April, was
questioned by police about a prescription drug found when they raided
his house last September.

Police searched 20 homes, including Museeuw's, after Landuyt was
suspected of supplying hormones to cyclists.

Museeuw, 38, retired after 16 years as a professional with 11 classic
victories.

Professional riders Chris Peers and Jo Planckaert and amateur Chris
Penney also appeared at the hearing.
