My cycling coach died yesterday while riding

Thanks!

The bike club has donated money to a local racing team that has a junior development squad in Ed's name. Ed was all about getting the young ones involved in racing.

We are planning a memorial ride and cookout that is shaping up for mid-June. We hope to get as many old team members as possible together and remember Ed and all he did in his life.

Thoughts are with you. Yeah, I'm not a serious roadie but commuting every day in two major cities for past five years has landed me in the hospital twice. As an avid Mt Biker, I never realized the perils you Roadies face every ride. A former co-worker and friend Andrew Tillin was recently 'killed' while fixing a flat along an Austin road. Andrew was an accomplished rider with years of experience and common sense. Killed standing along the road. RIP

CS, yes I posted the articles here about Andrew getting killed. So totally a freak accident! We're all naked out here in the land of 2-Ton Death.

None of us are ever safe, but we do love our sport, don't we?
