  1. Well, a month or so back, I posted asking about the
    Lakelander 3000, and a lot of you said that I shouldn't do
    it. Well, I hope you're glad that I ignored your advice.
    Only joking, it just seemed a little strange to be told that
    I was going to make a difference to the erosion of footpaths
    that see millions of feet a year.

    Well, I've planned it now, and I've got a few mad weeks
    coming up:

    1st weekend in July, I'm in a big Scout dragnet (basically a
    huge game of manhunt over 40 miles and 36 hours).

    2nd weekend in July, it's my silver DofE expedition
    practise.

    3rd weekend in July, it's the Lakelander.

    So, I figure that that's about 100 miles in three weekends -
    and I can't wait.

    Bring on the summer (oh wait, it's already here 🙂 )

    I hope for your sake that it recedes slightly, doing that
    much walking in these temperatures could be purgatory!
