You also have to put in a spoonful of baking soda with the
crumpled up aluminum foil and VINEGAR, not ammonia.

Be aware and warned, that this will harm the silver
after a while.

glass pan, aluminum foil, boiling water, sprinkle in soda
add the silverware. Add the soda until it works.

The recipe for cleaning silver...I heard was

Some Aluminum foil Some Washing soda Some water.

If you mix vinegar with Baking soda all you'll get is a
fizzy mess.
