Need Buying Advice

There is a LOT of discussion on the pro's and con's of Bikes Direct.com Search cyclingforums.com and bikeforums.net and you will find a lot of opinions.

I've never bought from them, but the only consistent knock I think is that you kind of have to know how to do a little assembly and adjustment ... or pay an LBS to do it for you. THis is because, of course, the bike is shipped to you in a box.

I've also seen quite a few who have bought the bikes for the components. But the ones who use the frames/complete bikes seem to be happy with them as well.

I'd have to say that in my opinion, there seems to be very few problems posted on the internet and they are taken care of. Like I said, search - I know especially that it's discussed a lot on bikeforums.net and the proprietor of Bikesdirect responds regularly.

I would be very tempted to go this route next time I'm in the market.
