I am constructing a bike from a very old lightweight frame. It has braze on gear cable guides/shutes on top of the bottom bracket instead of underneath. I wish to use the left hand shute for the front derailleur but unfortunately when I try to run the wire from the cable guide to the clamp on the mech it fouls the back of the seat tube.
What I need is a front mech that attaches the cable on the left hand side of the seat tube. The only mech I have seen that attaches on the left is the campag gran sport one that is fitted to my wifes Falcon. She does not want me to steal hers so please can anyone suggest an alternative.
